2021 – a year in review

2021 has been a year of change. The instructors and students of Kuk Sool Won of Yeovil martial arts saw 2021 start in lockdown with martial arts training on zoom, but as restrictions eased, saw the return of training back to the mats. Initial return was with social distancing but was great to be back at the dojang and training together.

As martial artists, adapting to change is part of the black belt mentality. As such, Kuk Sool Won of Yeovil maintained it student base during the challenging times as well as continuing to grow.

School owner, SBN Stephen Runnacles says “whilst 2021 has been challenging and keeping both instructors and student on our toes, our martial arts school has continued to thrive. We returned to competitions in November and despite challenges due to covid, our students came away with a number of medals. I am enormously proud of what our students and school have achieved in 2021.”

The end of the 2021 saw Kuk Sool Won of Yeovil’s annual awards of “Most Improved Student” to Gabriel Samways and “Student of the Year” to JKN Eleanor Thurston. Both students have show great attitude and commitment in their training over the year.
