June 2025 marks a huge milestone for us at Kuk Sool Won™ of Yeovil – we’re celebrating our 10-year anniversary!
It’s hard to believe that a whole decade has passed since we held our very first class in June 2015. Back then, we were just starting out with a dream: to bring the traditional Korean martial arts of Kuk Sool Won™ to the Yeovil community, share its incredible benefits, and build something meaningful together.
Ten years on, and what a journey it has been!
Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students — from energetic children taking their very first martial arts class to adults seeking fitness, confidence, discipline, or simply a new challenge.
Watching our students grow in both skill and character has been the most rewarding part of the journey. Whether it’s seeing a young beginner earn their first belt, or witnessing a dedicated student reach black belt level, every achievement has made this experience worthwhile.
We’re incredibly proud of the strong, respectful and supportive community that has grown around our dojang. Our students, families, and supporters have all played a huge part in our success — and we can’t thank you enough for your loyalty, encouragement, and trust over the years.
As a husband-and-wife instructor team, running the school together has been a personal as well as professional highlight. It’s been our privilege to share our passion for Kuk Sool Won™ with the people of Yeovil and the surrounding areas. This art isn’t just about kicks and punches — it’s about developing focus, discipline, resilience, and respect. These are values we aim to instil in every class.
To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we’ve chosen to give back by raising funds for Yeovil Opportunity Group, a fantastic local charity that provides specialist support for children with additional needs and their families. We’re proud to be contributing to their life-changing work and to make this celebration about more than just our school — it’s about making a positive impact in our town.
Looking ahead, we’re more excited than ever about the future. With new students joining all the time and long-time members continuing to grow and progress, there’s still so much to come. We’ve got a special celebration event and fundraising for a local charity planned — so stay tuned and be part of the next chapter!
